What's the cutout at the back for?
The U-shaped opening is designed so your coccyx — the tip of your tailbone — sits above the cushion rather than pressing down into it. This removes direct contact pressure from that area while the rest of the cushion supports your sit bones and thighs normally.
Will it fit my chair?
The cushion measures 15 inches (38cm) wide and 13.7 inches (35cm) deep. It fits most standard office chairs, dining chairs, and car seats. Works in wheelchairs too. The non-slip bottom keeps it from sliding.
Can I wash the cover?
Yes — the cover unzips and can be removed for washing. The memory foam core itself should not be machine washed; spot clean it if needed.
How thick is it?
The cushion is 7–8cm (about 2.75–3.1 inches) of memory foam. It raises your seated height a couple of inches, which some people find helpful for desk ergonomics.
Can I use it in the car?
Yes. Place it on the car seat with the cutout toward the back, just as you would on an office chair. The non-slip base keeps it in position on drives.
