EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam is the same lightweight, resilient material used in high-end athletic midsoles. In these slippers, it runs the full length of the sole at 3–5 cm (1.2–2 in) thick, giving you a noticeable platform that cushions heel strikes and spreads pressure across the arch. The material flexes with your foot instead of fighting it, so you can fold the slipper in half and it springs right back — no cracking, no stiffness.
